Territory Sales Specialist

We’re seeking for a Telecom Territory Sales Specialist to join our client’s team! The Telecom Territory Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the customer base for the company’s telecom products and services within a defined geographical region. This role involves acquiring new clients, managing relationships with existing customers, and meeting sales targets. The Telecom Territory Sales Specialist will be the subject matter expert on telecom products, ensuring customers receive the best solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Development & Lead Generation:

  • Identify, prospect, and target new business opportunities for telecom products and services within the assigned territory.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and attending industry events.
  • Develop and implement strategies for market penetration and growth in the region.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients in the telecom industry.
  • Provide ongoing support and regular check-ins with clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional sales opportunities.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to service, billing, or technical challenges.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs within the assigned territory, including monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for specific customer segments, including SMBs, large enterprises, or government clients, depending on the product offering.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify opportunities and threats.

Product Expertise & Solutions Selling:

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in the telecom industry.
  • Present and demonstrate telecom products and services to potential customers, focusing on their specific needs and pain points.
  • Provide consultative selling by recommending solutions such as broadband, VoIP, cloud services, data management, and more.

Negotiation & Closing Deals:

  • Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements while ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Close sales by overcoming objections, finalizing contracts, and ensuring smooth handoff to implementation teams.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to align on messaging, product positioning, and lead generation activities.
  • Work with the customer service team to ensure seamless onboarding and customer satisfaction post-sale.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings to share updates, challenges, and best practices.

Territory Management:

  • Maintain an organized and accurate list of current and prospective clients within the assigned territory.
  • Prioritize leads and prospects based on sales potential and strategic importance.
  • Manage time effectively, balancing client meetings, follow-ups, administrative tasks, and travel requirements.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Telecommunications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in telecom sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of telecom products and services, including voice, data, broadband, cloud solutions, and VoIP.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a focus on consultative selling.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse client profiles.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple accounts simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with flexibility for client meetings and travel within the assigned region.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for client meetings or industry events.

Base Pay: 36k – 40k (Commission 50k -100k)
