Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative and effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, specializing in skilled trades such as technicians, plumbers, and licensed electricians, etc.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for a wide range of roles.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and create tailored recruitment plans that align with business goals.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, employee referrals, and specialized platforms targeting skilled trades professionals.
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline to meet current and future hiring needs, focusing on skilled trades and other specialized roles.
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit, ensuring a high standard of talent acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, skilled trades schools, professional organizations, and other talent sources to support ongoing recruitment efforts.
  • Coordinate with external recruitment agencies and vendors when needed to supplement sourcing efforts.
  • Maintain a database using CRM (Maximizer)
  • Stay updated on industry trends, recruitment best practices, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead employer branding initiatives to attract skilled trades talent and promote the company as an employer of choice in the skilled trades sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in sourcing skilled trades candidates and managing external recruitment processes, with a proven track record as a Senior Recruitment Lead, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and advanced sourcing techniques for skilled trades roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly in skilled trades recruitment.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about finding and attracting top talent to support company growth and success.

Work Location: This is a full-time, permanent position based in our office in Vaughan.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year (Negotiable, depending on experience)

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with some evenings and weekends as needed.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).

Language: English (preferred).
