Mechanical Estimator (Sheet Metal Fabricator)

Our client is seeking a seasoned project manager that is detail-oriented to perform a wide range of duties to drive their projects to completion on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities:
● Implementing & maintaining systems for tracking bid invitations, addenda, bid documents, supplier quotes, and sub-contractor quotes.
● Reviewing & analyzing bidding opportunities to determine feasibility & to prioritize work
● Analyzing bid invitations and setting priority projects to focus on accurate bids for the most profitable and strategic jobs.
● Estimating Projects including Sheet Metal & Plumbing Projects & preparing bids.
● Putting together subs and suppliers’ quotes on the day of closing.
● Turning over won projects to the projects team.
● Analyzing lost bids and low bids for more accurate bids in the future.
● Following up on quotes for projects
● Developing and maintaining relationships with general contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure Climate Works receives the most competitive pricing from them.
● Entertaining general contractors, subs and suppliers, including events/lunches etc.
● Attending job showings; Meeting with important clients and customer liaison.
● Develop & maintain systems / processes for the company as it grows.

Qualifications:
● 5+ years Plumbing or HVAC Estimating Experience & proven experience as an estimator
● Ability to read and understand all trades drawings, specifications & contract documents
● Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures
● Communication & negotiation skills; excellent organizational & time-management skills; Team Leadership

● Computer experience with project management software and Microsoft Office
